Ocean rower, business speaker, author and thought leader on the effects of courageous leadership to generate the drive and resilience to repeatedly deliver results. After an environmental epiphany led her to a radical career change, Roz left her 11 year career as a management consultant to pursue a life of adventure and row solo across the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. Today, Roz helps leaders and everyday people unlock purpose-driven lives, revealing where and when to best apply her tools of success to take life to the next level.
Roz’s bold learnings are based on the realisation of two profound truths, which are at the heart of her story: 1) that we are all capable of much more than we tend to believe we are; and 2) that any endeavour worthy of being pursued requires an inspired and committed team to reach one’s goals. Her set of insightful techniques for amplifying personal determination help people to understand the benefits of living outside of one’s comfort zone and how to remain on course as a champion no matter the odds. As a thought leader and sustainability advocate, she combines her self-taught life skills with principles from neuroscience, psychology, personal development and leadership theory, to inform and inspire every audience she touches.
She is the first (and so far, only) woman to row solo across the world’s “Big Three” oceans, spanning over 15,000 miles and more than 5 million oar strokes. She holds four Guinness World Records, and was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to fundraising and the environment. All of this reminds individuals and organisations that one oar stroke or action may not get us very far, but millions of tiny actions add up to profound and gigantic transformation.
